As most of you know, we are deeply passionate about INSEAD and are extremely proud of belonging to this community. Wishing to give back to the school and support its ambitions, we have decided to support the school’s fundraising efforts in Belgium.
Because we deeply believe that INSEAD is a very special place that requires our support, we will aim all year round to convince you to join us on this journey.
The Belgian IAF Committee (Christophe and Frédéric)
1. Support a special place with a vision:
INSEAD is without doubt the most international and culturally attuned of all Business Schools. Backing the school enables you to support an institution offering a true alternative and distinctive offering among Business Schools.
This special place is doing well at the moment but is at risk of falling behind if we do not continue to help it to invest and build financial means to enable it to compete with other top tier schools. It is therefore crucial to build the endowment for the future.
2. Fund a purely private initiative
INSEAD was born as a purely private initiative. It wishes to keep its independence from public funding. The school therefore relies almost entirely on tuition fees and your donations to fund its operations and invest in the future.
3. Help the school attract the most diverse and talented student pool:
Funds raised from alumni help to attract the best students by providing them financial support through scholarships and loan forgiveness. The quality and diversity of students is what makes the experience so rich and what will enable the school to maintain its reputation.
4. Help the school fund key initiatives for its future:
Funds raised also help in attracting the best academics, funding key research initiatives and build the top-notch or state of the art infrastructure (s as,for example, the extension of the Singapore campus).
5. Show your confidence in the school:
The level of participation, by alumni,in fundraising is widely recognized as a strong sign of confidence in the school which is also reflected in MBA rankings. Donating ANY amount shows your support and trust in helping the school go forward. Remember: “every gift makes a difference”
This is particularly true as many partner institutions and companies match alumni donations when these reach certain thresholds.
6. Support a community that matters to you:
You have built lifelong relationships and lived intense moments of excitement both at INSEAD and within the alumni association. Donating helps you give back and sustain this incredible experience not only for the future alumni but also for yourselves.

INSEAD is the global, private business school, part of the world’s top 5.
Unlike the other schools, INSEAD relies solely on auto-financing and private funding.
To stay at the top, and achieve our Global Vision:
– we face the challenge to completely renew and expand our campus facilities over the next 5-10 years
– we need to significantly increase our Alumni involvement and contribution
In terms of funding, we need to significantly raise our Alumni Annual Contribution rate (‘ACR’), from the current 7% to 30% annually, to bring it on par with the major US business schools.
This ACR in itself is also essential in convincing other Major Donors and Corporate Sponsors to invest.
